Melody Huisjen has a passion for evoking joy through color and creation. After many years of working with youth in schools and the foster system or serving with wellness non-profits, her two daughters inspired her to open her own art studio, Hideaway Art and Craft in Golden, CO. When not creating beautiful lighted, hand-painted, and assembled shadow-boxes or completing commissioned ink, watermedia, acrylic or pastel paintings, she opens her studio to mentors and mentees, non-profits, creators of all ages and more. She has a talent for finding a subject’s true inner shine and showing it in her work.
